Magic the Gathering is my favorite game. It is, in my opinion, also the best game that currently exists due to its depth, history, and ability to support a multitude of play experiences within a single mechanics system. This depth comes with a high learning curve, so I've included some of my favorite resources for beginners:
Scryfall is the best card search engine. MTGPics is great for finding scans of magic art. Moxfield or Archidekt are both great websites to store decklists online. EDHRec is great for finding card ideas to include in a Commander deck. MTGGoldfish has metagame information for competitive formats like Modern, Legacy, and Pauper. CubeCobra is specifically designed for cubes.
Where do you get cards? I personally use Manapool, but there are many options. TCGPlayer is the default for many people, but I no longer shop with them after they engaged in union busting in 2025.
